Does Your Bucket List Include “Travel Overseas?”

This may not come as a complete surprise to you, but as baby boomers begin to retire, one of the top things on the to-do list is travel, according to new research. Baby boomers are more likely to travel than other adults, both in and out of the United States. There isn’t any indication this trend will change soon.

Travel has been one of my top priorities for as long as I can remember. Most of our travel was in the US. Bucket List Revisited

When I first started my bucket list (based on the movie with Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman), my dreams were pretty big, like going to Nepal. Recently, while in Mexico, I went whale watching in the Sea of Cortez. We became friendly with another couple on the boat and she exclaimed when we saw our first humpback whale breach out of the water, “I’ve fulfilled a dream on my bucket list-whale watching.”

I love whale watching, but never considered it that big of a deal, considering I had lived in California and had gone at least a half dozen times. Certainly, one person’s ‘bucket’ dream means little to someone else. [Read more...]
