This provides a huge opportunity to make a difference within families, communities and beyond. The ultimate goal of programs is to provide opportunities to help the disadvantaged become self-reliant and productive citizens. As a volunteer in retirement, people are involved providing hands-on support, as well as being an advocate or raising money for a particular group in need.
